From the site:"It is the first ethnic festival to be held at Seattle Center annually and the oldest in the Seattle Center Festál series." I've heard of this festival in passing, so let's check it out together! More information here: http://www.seattlecenter.com/festal/detail.aspx?id=4

What? live performances (Taiko drumming!), visual arts, hands-on activities, artisan demonstrations, and a theatrical stage production, Otokichi

When? We'll meet up at 10 am, and go from there. The festival ends at 6pm, but I don't think people would want to stay the entire time...

Where? Since we'll (hopefully!) have a sizable group, let's plan to meet in front of the Armory building (which also in front of the Starbuck/Mod Pizza). There's a grassy area with benches we can migrate to if we end up crowding the entrance.

Food? Yes! There are food booths, but cash only!

Let's celebrate the pretty Cherry Blossoms~~!

The festival was ok. I believe most of us expected there to be more going on. We saw a few exhibits spanning art, informational and historical, sampled some food stands and watched Taiko drumming performances. Afterwards, most of us went to lunch together elsewhere, and as usual, I enjoyed everyone's company.

Sorry for being lame, I managed to catch a flu or something from a conference at work. I'm feeling quite feverish and don't want others to get sick. I was so excited about this too...
