Thanks to everyone who came to the meeting!

We had a great time at the Café Mare, hearing about so many great groups and events, catching up with old friends and meeting lots of new women.

We selected Camp Opportunity to receive our donation this quarter. Camp opportunity is a residential camp for children ages 8-13 who are at risk of abuse or neglect. As usual, the vote was very close, so we wanted to include information about the other groups that were drawn from the hat, in case you want to send an additional check to them, in any amount. The other groups were Watsonville Wetlands Watch (http://www.watsonvillewetlandswatch.org/index.html) and The Artemis Project (http://www.artemis-project.com). We hope you'll support the great work they do in our community, and they'll be back in the hat next time!

Great energy! I really enjoyed talking with my table mates. As is usual, all three of the charities were worthy. It was hard to choose!

Be sure to check the list at http://www.100wwc.org/nominated-charities/ to make sure your group is on the list. When you come to the meeting, we will provide a card for each charity on the list. Just let us know to drop the card in the hat if you're ready to speak about the group on Wednesday! Remember, you must be a paying member of 100 Women Who Care in order to speak. See you on Wednesday!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
