Update/rain plan: There's a 60% chance of rain tomorrow. If it rains heavily or if there is lightning in the afternoon the show will likely be cancelled. If that is the case, those interested can meet at the New-York Historical Society (http://www.nyhistory.org/), Central Park West and 77th St. at 6:30 p.m.; it's pay as you wish from 6 to 8 on Friday nights. Those interested can join me for dinner nearby (probably on Amsterdam) afterwards.
If it does not rain before the show, I will be there at 6. If you arrive and there is no one there, that means the show has been cancelled so come to the Historical Society! But they will go on if at all possible. If you decide to drop out, I understand, but be responsible and change your RSVP on the web site so someone from the wait list can join us.
The Hudson Warehouse's second free production of the summer is King Lear. It's a tragedy, but a great play, so come join us in this lovely spot for some free Shakespeare. Bring a towel to sit on and a few dollars to toss in the hat at the end of the show. After the performance we'll head to a place nearby for food and/or drink.
