Hometown: New York, NY
July 14, 2012
I would say every NYer should try the Hudson RiverFlicks, which are free outdoors along the Hudson every summer, with free popcorn, and really only frequented by locals. Beautiful view and a fun time. I also think visiting a restaurant in every ethnic community in the city is a good way to learn about the local culture and get some of the best and cheapest food NYC offers. Also, there is a Brazilian film festival in the summer, I think in Bryant Park - great films, great music, free, and all NYers. Sledding in Central park in the Winter is another great local thing when it's cold.
Hi! Just moved back to NYC after living in Miami for a few years, and am looking forward to re-establishing social and spiritual connections here. Would love to find some peace in the chaos, and make new friends with some common interests.
