Each 2nd Saturday of the month, the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), Central California Valley Squadron host a pancake breakfast and classic aircraft display fundraiser at the Modesto Airport (KMOD).
Breakfast begins at 0830 hours and ends at 1100 hours and, as far as I know, nothing has changed. Breakfast still cost approximately $6 pp (cash and credit cards accepted) and includes: your choice of either pecan or regular pancakes; over medium or scrambled eggs; sausage or bacon; biscuit & gravy; beans; fruit salad and both, coffee and juice.
This is a group for pilots, wannabe pilots, future pilots, loved ones of pilots, boyfriends and girlfriends of pilots, retired pilots, people with a lot of money that would like to buy us all airplanes, military and vet pilots, and aviation enthusiasts looking for an excuse to fly around and eat things. We try to fly everywhere we can to grab something to eat or just hit an airshow, go camping, have a bon fire, meet friends or make new friends, and just get off the ground and have a lot of fun. Most of us have airplanes and the government says we are safe to fly them so we feel confident in that!
So, do you like to fly? Have you ever wanted to learn to fly if you don't do so already? Does flying interest you? Want to learn about airplanes? Care to visit the state of California with one of us on our many flight adventures we take as a group?
Do you just want to go out and spend like $100 for a damned hamburger? Add cheese for another $85? If so, we are your group!!!!
Join the group today. We are also working on some great perks for our members. These will be announced soon to our membership and we are excited at the very cool potential sponsors that are showing interest in our group!
Why should you join? Because you're hungry and you love to fly!
Please read the About section for information about the group. Flying does have inherent risks. If you choose to come to a meetup, whether by flying yourself or joining someone else, the risks you assume are your responsibility. I hope we can all have fun and fly safe. The go no-go decision is yours to make. Flying can be dangerous. Accidents do happen and when they do you can be injured or killed. You agree to hold the organizers, assistant organizers, and other members harmless as this is an 'at risk' activity. If you think about it though, driving has the same risks! Lets all be safe and fly and eat!
