Who I am now is not who I used to be, nor comparable to who I seek to be. The product of my timelines sensations and experiences, I am who you presently see, which is yet, not the “who” that I could be. I am a writer of music, poetry & life stories.
The passion emanates from within. Life’s experiences seem to have a way of bringing out the artistic nature within via ink & quill, wood & lead or pecking away at the latest technological tools. I started writing when I was about the age of 15 through poetry. In college my essays seemed to have been of exceptional quality which suggested to me that I should take my writing a little more serious. In recent days I am finding myself compelled to scribe my thoughts & imaginations, for they are as active as a barrel of monkeys extremely anxious to get out.
I love to express my thoughts & feelings. Writing is a tool for communication & when I can connect to others through my writing, I feel a little more connected to the world around me.
I have not published yet. I love to write poetry & have just submitted a piece to a contest. The piece that I submitted has the potential of being published, so, we'll see how it goes.
I hope to partake of the shared knowledge of the members of the group. From the first session that I sat in on, I was assured that I could benefit from the broadened perspectives and gained experiences.
No other writing groups, but I am a member of C.O.F.F.I.E. (COnnecting Friends for Fun Intown Entertainment) & this particular group has events which allow me to express some of the things I write verbally via the Open Mic events it has.
An excellent group with excellent leadership. The members I have met with have shown substance & great personality. I am now eagerly anticipating each meetup & wishing that my schedule would allow me to meet with the group more often.

Hey Curtis!
So glad you stumbled upon us and joined the group. Here is a link to a couple samples of my art. It really isn't much, most of it is here at the house (lol), but it should give you an idea of what I used to do :)
Curtis! What's up, man? Great to see you decided to join the C.O.F.F.I.E. group! Awesome meeting you...see you soon!
