I've written a bit of everything, but have recently narrowed the scope down to children's books and YA science fiction.
I think of Malcolm Gladwell's book Outliers. Particularly how the book highlights the 10K-hour rule; that's the amount of time you put into purposeful practice to achieve mastery of anything. Somehow, having that metric, that tangible goal, gives me direction and motivation.
I'm a self-published writer.
What I hope to gain from the group: - honest critiques - an exchange of knowledge and experience - good advice - writers I can call friends :)
