Description/Notes:
Because of the length/difficulty of this hike, I would only recommend you sign up if you're a reasonably fast hiker.

Additionally, because of the length/difficulty, we'll have to start at 6am. This means that I'm car-camping the night before at the trailhead. I would highly suggest that you do the same; otherwise, you'll have to leave the Denver metro area at 3am the morning of.

Timing:
Carpool: 7pm on Friday at The Fort restaurant
Note: I always leave the carpool spot no later than 10 minutes after the specified time. Do not be late, or you will be left behind.
Trailhead: 6:00am Saturday morning

Links:
14er.com (route info): http://goo.gl/khuqC
Current weather forecast: http://goo.gl/Qfs9z
Directions to the trailhead (from the carpool location): http://goo.gl/maps/YgX7z

Policies:
Cancellations: If there is weather, I will make a decision of whether to cancel the hike at 5pm the day before. If I do decide to cancel the hike, everyone who signed up will be notified. No notification by 5pm = the hike is on.

Dogs: I don't have a problem with dogs, but refer to the 14er.com link or google the wilderness area to determine if you're allowed to bring your pet.

Not too bad a hike. Could be difficult for some. I'm not a big fan of out and back hikes, but it is a reasonable length for two peaks.

It really depends on the person (how good of shape you're in). It may take someone 8 hours to do this hike, whereas a trailrunner can do it in 2 hours.

For reference, I did Yale last weekend (standard route) in 2.5 hours up, and 1.5 hours down, so 4 hours RT, including breaks. That was 9.5 miles and 4300 ft of elevation gain.
