 west ridge from guanella pass. with the pass closed, there will be an extra 1.5 miles from the winter parking lot to the regular trailhead, making it an 11.5 mile day!

    Ok gang, I'll be at the trailhead around 0700 getting ready. Look for the blue jeep liberty with TX plates. I would like to be leaving NLT 0730, so don't tarry! ;-)

    I'm sorry I had to bail. I ended up hiking Eldorado Canyon Trail. We as a club will finish this unfinished business. Mt. elbert (spelling), Mt. evans. I do enjoy this group, i hope to see all at the next hike.

    fun fun, but we have to come back to finish it. This hike should get the nick name Mt. Snowshoe. 7 hours or so snowshoeing in 40 mph wind. 4 degrees when we head out. windchill was probably -140 or something at least it felled that way :)
