The 14er Fitness & Trainingis a group for all skill levels (from novices to Mount Everest Summiteers), who are interested in training for and climbing 14ers.
The philosophy of this group is to prepare for 14ers. This includes, of course, the physical training, but also acquiring knowledge to safely hike at higher elevations. Therefore, a majority of the hikes will be training hikes to get people of all levels of experience ready to climb 14ers. We will be leading 14er hikes, as well.
Given the risk associated with climbing 14ers, instead of signing a waiver for every hike, the waiver will be included in the hike description – by signing up for the hike, you are agreeing that you are solely responsible for your safety and assume all liability for the hike.
