Aside from the self-explanatory title, I'll add that it's often difficult to generate interest in trekking up summits distant from the Front Range. For those who have a goal of standing atop most or all of the 14ers, a group like this is helpful to make the summits more memorable than dusty, trail-pounders done solo.
Many summits can be done in winter, and most are more enjoyable when camping at the trailhead or nearby the night before. My availability is somewhat limited, so I invite and encourage others to propose and lead outings to bag these silly summits or any outdoor related activities.
Keep in mind that these are "leaderless" trips. That means each of you are responsible for judging whether or not your abilities are appropriate for the trip. You are also solely responsible for your personal safety and health. Please do not join the group if you cannot agree with these basic principles.
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
