Quickbooks Workshop with CPA Ryan McGee

151 Locust is hosting a Quickbooks workshop featuring guest speaker Ryan McGee of The McGee CPA Group. This workshop is geared towards beginners to intermediates with a Q&A at the end.

Ryan C. McGee, CPA is the principal of The McGee CPA Group, P.C. The firm, founded in November 2004, was
spawned out of a vision and dream he would seek to fulfill while still a student in college.
He has been a QuickBooks Pro Advisor since 2008, and is certified on versions 2008 – 2010.

Mr. McGee is a native of Hattiesburg, MS and graduated from Morehouse College with a Bachelor of Business
Administration (with a concentration in Accounting).

He is a member of the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants, from which he was chosen to be a member
of the “highly prestigious” Leadership Academy Class of 2004. He is also a member of the American Institute of
Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and has joined the Tax Section of the organization.

Need a more advanced course. This was a starter class for people first learning QB.

Good info, just wish the talk was a little better organized.

It was useful for people who are ready to start using a software package for accounting, and for people already using QuickBooks at an entry level.

The QB's application was hard to see on the tv. Would have been better if it could have been zoomed in to be larger somehow.

informative. I think a slide-show in the beginning may have been a better way to start but I appreciated Ryan's openess to letting things be interactive and answering peoples questions. This seems to be a tricky subject with a very broad scope of issues surrounding it. Maybe deep-diving into specific problems/topics could be a potential topic for future presentations... ? I thought this went really well.
