NJ Swing has offered casual & entertaining lessons and dance parties in all Swing-era styles, as well as social ballroom and nightclub, ever since Kristine first introduced the swing resurgence to North Jersey in 1998. No partner and no dance experience is needed to attend. You'll find a great mix of friendly singles and couples of all ages and skill levels sharing a common interest... the thrill of dancing!

NJ Swing remains the biggest and longest-running swing event in NJ. Our monthly Friday parties (with occasional Saturdays) attract 100 to 200 dance enthusiasts from around the NY/NJ/PA area and beyond. To see what other dancers are saying, see this link: http://www.njswing.com/dancerfeedback.htm.

Doors open for the Dance Party at 8:30, and the admission is usually $15 for DJ'd events and $20 for live music events (discounted for students under 26 with ID or if prepaid with pre-party in-depth Workshop). Admission includes a complimentary "Swing Basics" lesson 8:40 until 9:00, followed by DJ'd dancing on a huge chandelier-lit wood ballroom floor from 9:00 until midnight, and complimentary refreshments, hors d'oeuvres, cookies and more. Special in-depth Workshops and Crash Courses start around 7:00 (sometimes earlier) and run until 8:30 or 9:00. There is a separate charge to participate in them, but always discounted if prepaid with the Dance Party. No partner is ever needed. Unless otherwise stated, most events are held at the American Legion Ballroom, 13-23 Legion Place, Whippany, NJ, near Morristown.

Periodically NJ Swing offers weekly group lessons on Fridays. Private lessons are also available by appointment weekdays anytime and year-round. NJ Swing also provides private party event planning, as well as DJ's, bands, dance hosts/motivators, performers and dance instruction (swing-era dances, hustle, latin, wedding dances, etc.).

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
