This group is looking for a few like minded people (sustainability, conservation...) looking to connect with those who understand that adventure starts when things don't go as planned. When the crowd goes north, 180 degrees south sounds pretty good. It's for advanced backpackers / kayakers looking for escape that creates positive change in character or soul. Trips should be long enough to really get a to know a place, and feel like you did something. Not bragging rights; just introspection and a bit of transformation. Local trips would include Outer Banks region, Pisgah and the Smokies, with a preference for wilderness areas. Once established the group would plan longer more complex out of state journeys. If this sounds like you send me an email and let's start planning.
