Team based shooting
We will capture pictures of models in teams. If the group is small, then we will shoot in pairs or 1-on-1 with model. If the groups are large, then we will divide accordingly. We are to share time capturing images with one another without exhausting the models. When a photographer shoot for a set time, the others should support them model and the other photographers to help each other capture great images.
Gear to Consider (but not limited to):
1. Reflectors/Zip Disc
2. Speedlights: on light stand and with light softbox or reflector
3. Portable strobes w/ battery pack and Light Shaping Tools
Collecting files and uploading images:
We are planning to collet unedited images for the models from all of the photographers at the end of the shoot. Too many time photographers, including myself at times, have not properly shared photos with the models and have broken the trust that the meetup group has developed.
We will meet back near the studio after the shoot to collect images from all photographers. We will head over to the local Starbucks. Set your cameras to shoot Raw+JPEG (Fine at full size) so the models can have images for their books also. We will only require Large Fine JPEGs. No Raw images unless you can not shoot duel format. Images will be processed and raw files will be deleted once complete. I do not want you images for myself...
We are going for high fashion street photography that would be fit for publications. We are using light and the local environment to create looks that are stunning and engaging. The make up should be bold, but simple. Clean faces with contouring and pops of color on the eyes and lips. Eyes are the central element in the face as lips color may erode. If you can walk with us on the shoot for touch-ups, that would be awesome.
This is a street fashion photo shoot and we want to have contemporary attire for this shoot. Models should bring standard model bags/gear and at least on look from your personal collection. We may change the looks on the street but access to changing facilities will not be secured. There will not be any boutique fashions for this shoot. Please bring fashion forward attire along with a standard model kit. Also be prepared to apply your own makeup IF the MUA are not available. We should not have that problem.
Please come with a white/black/plane t-shirt, form-fitting jeans/pants/shorts/tight pants/skirt and the like. Jackets and sleeveless jackets are great too. Do not bring too much! Keep it simple.
Please feel free to bring light jewelry, hats, umbrellas and the like. simple is better. Avoid big ear rings if you have small necks. Gloves are great to match with attire also.
Bring stylish shoes, boots, sandals and etc. Bring comfortable walking shoes to change into if we walk to location away from studio.
If you bring a Dress, come with a high fashion look. I twill be warm out and skin is in. Please moisturize legs, arms and other exposed body parts that does not receive makeup with a non-oil based moisturizer.
Clean Hair and Faces
Please wash and cleanse your hair and faces so that our prep team can have a clean palette to prior to application of makeup and styles. If you are sensitive to any products, please communicate with the Prep Team in advance to application.
