MR. VAMPIRE and BIOMAN

  • November 15, 2012 · 8:00 PM

1954's VOYAGE OF THE DEAD (a B&W horror drama from Beijing) is one of the movies discussed in this scholarly history on Hong Kong's "Hopping Vampire" genre. This is my 16th "Tokusatsu Theater", and it includes the horror classic MR. VAMPIRE (Golden Harvest; 1985) from Hong Kong, as well as an episode of the Japanese TV show BIOMAN (Toei; 1984). It will be an action-packed, funny, dense-as-lead, two-hours!

Sincerely Mine, Damon Foster

The screening of MR. VAMPIRE (and BIOMAN) was great fun. Thanks to Jim Politano, John Grigg, Aaron Cooper and Hal & Dee Estell for showing up. MR. VAMPIRE looked great on the big screen. The many people who flaked really missed out, it's their loss.

I can't make it but I'd love to talk about classic movies if anyone is interested.
