Our business is heir tracing. We are forensic genealogists and have been in the business for several years. We search for heirs to intestate estates or wills that have been declared null and void for one reason or another for some provincial departments and private estate lawyers from Canada. We also work for estate officials located in other countries to find heirs here in Canada. We provide detailed court ready documentation to prove heirship based on searches at archives or libraries, in newspapers or perhaps personal interviews of relatives of the deceased. We do collaborate with other genealogists worldwide in heir searches. We also do genealogy for private clients who want to get dual citizenship for another country or perhaps they need to know for medical reasons why an ancestor died. We do provide genealogical research for those who just a family tree and documentation to solve a family mystery or for fun.
We work with an executor needing to locate a beneficiary for a will. Perhaps they need a birth certificate or some other proof. We work with lawyers, estate trust companies, private detectives, companies looking to wind up and find shareholders etc. We can help those who need a family tree for many reasons from fun to medical reasons.
It is all about networking. We need to let people know that we are out there, the type of detailed and the quality of our work. We would like to connect with other businesses that we may need in our research like private detectives, or virtual office persons for writing of reports that sort of thing.
