Hike Sourland Mountain Preserve

Moderate hike with some steep sections interspersed.  Plan for a hike of about 5 miles (Ridge Trail) and 2+ hours. We'll meet in the gravel parking lot that is by the pond.  Google Sourland Mt Preserve to make sure you know where it is before the event, otherwise it can be easy to pass the gravel driveway off of East Mountain Road.  Wear sturdy shoes for rocky trails.  Of course, bring snack, water, bug spray and sunscreen.

Here is the printable trail map:

And here is the more general webpage for the preserve:

Bad weather cancel (forecast of 40% or more chance of precipitation or any storm/thunderstorm forecast)

I think I'm gonna pass but I will definitely attend next time. Have a great time! And I'm sure you will be the next contestant on DANCING WITH THE STARS.

I should also add that it gets really hot in the studio. If anyone goes, wear confortable clothes that you can move in that you don't mind sweating in. Wear shoes with as little grip as possible (rubber soles grip the floor and make turns difficult) and bring water. Also, remember you don't have to be a good dancer or have rhythm to start. That's why we take classes. :)
