Hello everyone,

I understand that the hotel cost is a little high for the trip. Believe me, I have the same concern. I wish that I could find a hotel that is close enough at the decent rate. However, hotels are expensive in the area. We would be looking at either staying a little far and pay for cab fares/parkings or stay close enough and save on cab fares/parkings. It's a no win-win situation. I even consulted with a few locals and they said the same thing. I am open to suggestions and will be more than happy to switch hotel if any of you can find a cheaper one.

Since many of you are willing to share the room with others, let's have 3 per room so we can cut down the hotel cost. Also, I will look into having us dine at inexpensive restaurants. Except for Saturday night dinner at moroccan restaurants, we will have lunch at $ restaurants only. I will also look into bars and lounges that are cheaper and will not charge for cover.

D.C. is very pretty and there are many things we can do without having to spend money. We can either walk along the river fronts or visit monuments, etc.

Also, a few things I would like to remind you:

Ladies, Georgetown's sidewalks are not made for heels. So, please be prepared to carry your flat shoes on the trip. We will be walking around Georgetown on Saturday afternoon. (I usually carry my flat shoes in my bag and just change when needed.)

Dupont Circle is a trendy place. So, Ladies and Gentlemen, you are expected to dress up on Saturday night.

That's all folks. I will update you with a revised list of restaurants for lunch later this evening or tomorrow.
