Join us Sunday, July 28th for a hike to Angel's Rest in the Columbia River Gorge (http://www.portlandhikersfieldguide.org/wiki/Angel's_Rest).
We'll meet up at the Starbucks in Hollywood (1633 NE 39th Ave, Portland, OR 97232) at 9:30am. At the Starbucks, we'll coordinate drivers and will try to carpool as much as possible to save on money and gas. If you don't have a car and would like to come, send me a message and I'll try to make sure that you'll have a spot. I'll have room for 3 more people in mine.
From there, it's a short, 30 minute drive to the trail head. It you haven't done this hike before, the view from the top is breathtaking. The hike itself is 4.8 miles round trip and could be classified as moderate to difficult (it can get steep). We'll take a leisurely pace and will stop along the way for pictures and to catch our breath. Make sure you bring plenty of water. We'll have lunch at the top, so bring something to eat as well. The entire trip will take about 4-5 hours, and we should have everybody back in town by 2:30pm.
If it looks like the weather is going to be bad, I'll see how everybody is feeling and maybe we'll reschedule.
I hope to see you out there! Call me at[masked] if you have any questions!
