Co-Ed Cheap Thrills Hiking

This is a short hike to see 4 waterfalls.  We'll be doing the loop for Horsetail Falls with a detour to Triple Falls. This should total around 4.2 miles and maybe 900 feet elevation gain overall.  I estimate 45min driving time each way and about 3 hours for hiking.  We could extend the hike by going beyond triple falls for a mile or two.  You may comment below if this is an option.

Horsetail Falls Loop Hike
Triple Falls Hike

Plan to park at Oneonta Creek. It is optional to park at Horsetail Falls since we are walking a loop. Take the 84 freeway and exit 35, just past Multnomah Falls. Make a right off the exit, then left at the stop sign and head past Ainsworth State Park. The lot is on your left after Horsetail Falls and after a pedestrian tunnel.

We will meet at the Gateway Transit Center at the 84 and 205 freeways. More specifically we will be between the park-and-ride garage and NE 99 at 7 AM to beat the heat and tourists. Carpools will be chosen and we'll leave for the gorge at SURPRISE AM. Be early.

Please comment if you are able to drive. If you are a rider, cash is a good bribe to drivers. They are happy to drive the next time. The suggestion is around 8 Dollars or 6 Euros.

If you RSVP, the policy on "NO SHOWS" is magical and you don't want to find out. Please cancel your RSVP at least 30 hours in advance.

Make sure you bring water, shoes built for rocks, a camera, and water. Backpacks and Fanny Packs are great for this stuff. You may also bring silent dogs or cats to carry your crap, but don't plan on them carpooling.

You are responsible for yourself and possibly the person next to you.

"Having fun" is also required.

I should be able to make it. I'm told that if we get that job, it'll be next weekend. I'll change my rsvp if that changes.
I'm looking forward to this one :)

This should be limited to 10 or 15 hikers. I am unable to set the limit.
