WTF Comedian Marc Maron: Attempting Normal

From standup to television to his outrageously popular podcast, WTF with Marc Maron, this brutally honest comedian finds wisdom in the strangest places. One day he woke up to find himself fired from his radio job, surrounded by feral cats, and emotionally and financially annihilated by a divorce. He tried to heal his broken heart through minor-league hoarding, Viagra addiction, accidental racial profiling and shoplifting from Whole Foods, but nothing seemed to work. Maron’s new book, Attempting Normal, is a reflection on his journey back through the wilderness of his own mind, the journey of a sympathetic screw-up who’s trying really hard to do better without making a bigger mess. Most of us will relate.

“A startlingly honest, compelling and hilarious comedian-poet. Truly one of the greatest of all time.” – Louis C.K.

Also, the tix no longer include the book, so they are cheaper, but you can still buy the book tonight at the venue if you are interested.

Hi all! I'm not organizing this meetup, but I work at the JCCSF , where the event is happening tonight. Wanted to let you know that as of now we still have plenty of tickets available, but it may sell out if you wait until tonight, so would be better to get your ticket online as opposed to the door. Hope you all enjoy it!!!

This is my first Meetup (ever). Does one buy the tickets at the door or online? If anyone wants to grab some drinks or dinner before the show let me know. I just moved to San Francisco for grad school and hope to meet some cool people :)

AHHH, I LOVE MARC MARON!!! I'm gonna try to make it, but I'm guessing I won't pull it off (because I usually don't) - but I'm gonna do what I can to be there! (I won't say "yes" or "no" to this one "officially" unless I'm sure whether I can make it...)
