Welcome to the bay area ya 3amr, I am from Egypt as well and moved to SF few months ago, I have been diving in Egypt for about 5 years, I tried diving here in Monterey, it's nice and has different marine life than the red sea, the visibility is not that good as the red sea and it is really cold, that's the difference but overall experience was great.
