Multi-meetup with ATL New in Town and N. Fulton Young Professionals and Atlanta 80's Babies! Please only sign up in one group for accurate head counts!
Every year, we celebrate Valentine's Day in our own special way ---by getting together at a laid-back, unromantic venue that has absolutely nothing to do with hearts and flowers, $125 dinners for two, or dressing in your finest red and black ensemble. Whether you're single or a happy couple, you'll have a great time hanging out with friends and meeting new people in a fun, pressure-free environment where nobody will ask you when you're going to meet a nice guy/girl, or when you're finally going to tie the knot. This is the 7th year we've held this event, and it's always a popular one.
This year, we'll be congregating at the Buckhead location of Gordon Biersch Brewery, an unpretentious place that has great pizza, a huge beer selection, and a pretty diverse menu. As I recall, cocktails are pretty good, too! (REPEATING: We are at the BUCKHEAD location. If you're calling me from Midtown, you didn't follow instructions. ;) )
The down side: The only way I could get a large group in was to start the event at 7:30, so we need to have as many folks on time as possible. If you're a little late, that's cool, just please don't show up at 9:45 without texting me first to find out if there's space or we're still there.
Afterwards, we're going to hang out at The Shelter for the Valentine's Masquerade Ball! The Shelter is a blast, and doesn't make you deal with a dress code or $14 drinks. Because I told the promoter it was both our anti-Valentine's Day party and Shannon's b-day week, she's willing to set up a little "VIP" area just for us...so, you can sit or mingle, dance or not dance, whatever your thing is. Costumes are not required, but if you want to wear a mask or a costume, go all out and do it! Parking is free, and cover is $10. It is less than 2 miles from the restaurant. If you've made it a resolution to do different stuff in 2013 and have new adventures, as I have, this is the kind of event you need to check out.
This year, skip the Hallmark cards, overpriced roses, and speed-dating, and have a great night hanging out with friends and appreciating the small things in life that make life so awesome!:) Singles, couples, old friends, new friends, everyone is welcome.
Space is limited, however, so only sign up if you know you can make it! Please let me know in your RSVP if you'll be joining us for dinner, clubbing, or both. We need head counts for both places. :) Also, if you'll be joining later than 7:30, let me know that, too. :)
See you guys there!!
Please note, we will be implementing a no-show policy for this event, in order to keep reservations accurate.
