Hi everyone! I'm Noelle with Skeelanta, Atlanta's most awesome competitive skeeball league! If you have any questions or want to sign up, please email me at [masked].
Here's a quick peak of us on 11 Alive news:http://on.11alive.com/ZknSdM
Our Skee for All event is the perfect opportunity for new people to try us out for free, meet some of our veteran players, and see what we're all about.
We'll host a couple tournaments and games on May 6th and May 13th from 7pm-11pm. The winners will receive prizes. If you're not so hot at skeeball, never fear. We'll have a drawing each night for the best prizes! Last season we gave away Hawks tickets, cash prizes, bar tabs, and a couple tickets to a moonshine tasting event.
IF WE HAVE ENOUGH TEAMS SIGN UP, YOUR TEAM WILL HAVE THE CHOICE OF PLAYING ON EITHER SUNDAY EVENINGS OR MONDAY NIGHTS! As it stands, we have only been playing on Monday nights. If we don't have enough people sign up, then we will play either Sundays or Mondays, depending on the day that works best for the majority of our players. Please join our Skeelanta Meetup page if you want to vote on which day we will play.
Who we are: Skeelanta hosts a competitive skeeball league on Monday nights at 120 Tavern in Marietta. Everyone 21 and up is invited! We offer a unique way for you and your friends to hang out, meet new people, and blow off steam after work. No one's obligated to join the league, but perks of joining the league are: you'll get an awesome t-shirt, you'll be known by your unique nickname (that we give you), you'll get your own trading card that includes your season stats, you'll have unique bragging rights, and you'll compete for the mother of all skeeball trophies at the end of the season! During the season we play in teams of three, so if you're interested, you can bring a couple friends to play with. Like Skeelanta on Facebook or follow us on Twitter to stay tuned for discounted registration offers and other fun prize offers. Let's roll!
How it works: Three people play per team. There's a $20 registration fee per person, and then it's $10 per person per week for game play ($1 per game for 10 games). The registration fee covers t-shirts, trophies, trading cards, prizes, and machine repairs. The season lasts 8 weeks, we have a make up week for teams or players that have to make up one or more games, and then we have our Roll Championship Series on a Saturday at the end of the season. We have tournaments to determine the best team and the best individual player, among other tournaments for fun. All of the game play on Playoff Day is free!
