I received an email about a great community event happening in Marietta, and thought I'd share. Details below. This event will be un-hosted.
I'm writing on behalf of Lift Up Atlanta (http://www.liftupatlanta.org/), a 501c3 nonprofit organization that helps women and children in the metro Atlanta area. Lift Up Atlanta's mission is to provide homeless women and children in the metro Atlanta area with safe housing, food, clothing and other services designed to help them meet their basic needs, to support their education, and to empower them to reach self sufficiency.
We wanted to invite you and your group to our Back to School Community Festival being held on July 27th from 12pm to 3pm at the Unity North Church, 4255 Sandy Plains Rd in Marietta. It’s going to be a great day for the entire family while giving back to the community. We will be collecting backpacks and school supplies for needy children in the metro Atlanta area. It’s going to be so much fun yet so rewarding.
Back to School Community Festival
On July 27, 2013, we will be having our Back to School Community Festival to collect and distribute backpacks and school supplies for needy children. We are making this into a fun family event for everyone where they can have fun and give back to the community. There will be children performers, live entertainment, carnival food and games, prizes and giveaways, a silent auction and a grand raffle where we will give away 2 Southwest Airline tickets. You can enjoy all this great fun for only $5 and any school supplies you would like to donate.
The Back to School Festival will be held at Unity North Church, 4255 Sandy Plains Rd in Marietta, GA from 12pm to 3pm. Invite your family and friends and have a great time while giving back. We also welcome groups to get together to have school supply drives for this worthy cause.
Our motto is: Together we can make a better community.
If you are not able to attend and would like to donate, please donate on our website www.liftupatlanta.org
