Welcome to 20-something's in Cobb County!  We're so glad you found our group and we'd love to meet you at a future event!!

This group is dedicated to those in their 20's (and 30's) who live on the west side of northern metro Atlanta: Marietta, Smyrna/Vinings, Austell, Powder Springs, Acworth, and Kennesaw.  Our meetups will primarily take place in this area so you don't have to travel far to meet people and have a good time.  Of course we will occasionally drive a little further for a fun event!

We are a very open and welcoming group who has a lot of fun doing a variety of events: trivia, movies, restaurants, amusement parks, house parties, concerts, sports games, bowling, and much more!  So we encourage you to check out the upcoming meetups, find something that appeals to you, and take a chance to make some new friends!

Have an idea for an event?  Suggest an idea!  We're always looking for new and cool ideas for things to do.

Some things to keep in mind:

• Meetup groups are based on people who have something in common.  In our case our common factors are age and location.  While we welcome folks from any part of the state we are limiting the age range to 20-35.
• We are a group that likes to party.  We occasionally have house parties for holidays which are a lot of fun, but would not make a very good "first meetup" for two reasons.  First, since these parties take place at a member's personal home we prefer to limit it to those who we have met and can trust.  Second, there is always drinking involved and the host/organizers won't be focusing so much on greeting and mingling. If you would like to participate make sure you sign up quickly as space will be limited!  Remember that if you plan on drinking and/or eating at the party you will need to bring something to contribute.
• Have a suggestion for a meetup?  There are several ways you can make it happen.  1) Make a "suggested meetup".  If 2 more people sign up for your suggested meetup it will automatically be announced and moved to the main page with other upcoming meetups.  If you make a suggested meetup, though, you are also volunteering to host it.  You will be in charge of this meetup so you'll have to include as many details as possible about when and where to meet and a phone number other members can use to help locate you (only members of 20-something's in Cobb County will be able to see your number).  If you have an idea for a meetup, but don't want to host it one of the other 2 options would be better for you.  2) As a Discussion in the Message Board.  Click "Discussions" at the top of the main page and you will directed to the Message Board where you will find a thread dedicated to meetup suggestions.  3) Email an organizer.  We will take all suggestions under consideration, after all, this group is for you!
• We have had to implement a "No-Show Policy", please read it under "Pages" at the top of the page.
• We have a Facebook page!  It is also called 20-something's in Cobb County and has exclusive meetups and last-minute events you won't find here.  You can get to it by clicking on the Facebook logo on the left side of the page next to "Follow us".  Check it out!!
