20SOMETHING is a social events organization for young lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people in New York City, aged 18 to 33. We meet regularly every first Tuesday of each month at 8pm at the LGBT Community Center (208 West 13th Street, [gaycenter.org]). The purpose of our biweekly meetings is to socialize and to discuss topics relevant to people in and around their 20s. Meeting topics range from light to serious. We also have other activities at our meetings, such as ice-breakers and games. 20SOMETHING has a $5 door fee at each meeting to cover the cost of the room and refreshments. In addition to our meetings, we host dinners, coffee nights, and bar outings. We also hold special events such as beach trips, movies, ice skating, and more! Members pay for themselves during all events (such as buying their own movie ticket). However, unlike our meetings, 20SOMETHING does not charge a special fee for attending.
