Tszil/Mt Taylor-Joffre lakes area (backcountry ski)

  • This location is shown only to members

  • This nice peak/glacier area is quite spectacular:)

Expect a 7h return trip with 1200m elevation gain.

The actual peak area is NOT my destination: from the saddle between the 2 peaks we'll decide the final destination.

Not a very challenging trip, with a straight forward approach, you still need to have enough stamina to complete the trip, so do not underestimate it:)

    Hi Michael,
we did quite a few backcountry trips this season, including Zoa, red heather, three brothers in Manning park, etc. And we are in general fut, so 7 hours won't be a problem for us. I am a splitboarder, so I hope you don't mind. We do have training, avy gear and winter tyres. As long as the avalanche hazard is not high we are up for the trip.

The terrain looks challenging though, have you been there before?

sure, as long as we get to the back country, we don't care :)

I am not sure if this trip is easy enough for you: you need more than 3 previous trips in order to handle this one...
