Taking the family out to Ski

Greetings everyone,
I am organizing an event in the Ubuntu Vancouver Loco meetup group to
take everyone skiing one last time before the hassle of international
winter games.

I wonder if someone in this group would be kind enough to give me some
pointers, regarding the places/people to go to to make this event
worthwhile for the group members. some of the questions I have include:

  - Since we are bringing the whole family, there are going to be
members who don't ski, kids, and grandparents. can we select a mountain
where others can have fun as the skiers are rushing down the slopes?

  - Are there any contact points to call and organize the event before
hand, such as people whom you might know by name, that I can call and
give a heads up (like get the tickets or rent equipment) or ski teachers
that I can hire, things like that, preferably with some kind of
promotion?

Thank you and I appreciate your help very much.

Ah, while we are at it, you might want to check our group and the event
www.meetup.com/ubuntuvancouver and we love to have you as our member if
you are curious about pushing your computer to the edge.

Cheers,
Rex
