Welcome to the 20s and 30s Outdoors Club!


We are an extremely active group of outdoors loving 20s and 30s year olds living in the DC-VA-MD area. We focus on going on real adventures, not watered down hikes like Rock Creek Park...or any other lameness. We like to get out of the city for a day/weekend. Looking for everyone to sacrifice convenience for more memorable experiences. So many people in this group are friends, and have made great friends through this. Somehow new members feel instantly like they have known everyone for a long time and feel like they are in the right place.

This is not like most meetup groups. We keep the group small (500 people max) and also keep our trip sizes small. It ALWAYS makes for a better trip and does not ruin the experience for anyone else that we may pass on the trail. We always have waiting lists, and there are always opportunities to join at the last minute, so do not be immediately discouraged. We post events all the time, so definitely keep yourself posted on the calendar. It is a really laid back group, so if you have trouble joining trips, or being on wait lists, just email the organizers and we will see what we can do.

Our members share many hikes, many miles, many drinks! We all like to kick it pretty hard...not a whole lot of bible study happening in this crowd, even though we joke about doing it on every trip! Our members and organizers all have different ranges of experience and different interests. Some of our past or future events include: Hiking, Backpacking, Camping, Skiing, Whitewater Rafting, and Happy Hours.

We want you to join if you are active and fun to be around, and want to be active in the group, and make great friends. We have had tons of fun trips in 2012 and are looking forward to more fun trips and adventures in our future.
