Happy New Year everyone! Sorry will not be able to attend tonights meetup because I have a friend in the E.R. but I was only coming for the support of the group anyways because this book I could not get into at all and I tried to numerous times. Hope everyone else was able to have more success with it than I did :) Have a great evening!

Had a great time at the meetup tonight. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Look forward to seeing everyone next month. Jenny, Annalise and Artie - all of you had really good input on the book and its meaning.

Thank you to those of you who came out tonight! the book discussion was great! I am currently putting up the new poll. On a side note- The book I was referring to with the classroom experiment was called No Substitute for Madness,
    http://www.amazon.com/No-Substitute-Madness-Teacher-Lessons/dp/0933280068/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1388630107&sr=8-5&keywords=ron+jones
The book is no longer in print so I cant suggest it for the this months read (would be far too expensive), however, I promised to look it up. There is also a young adult book of the story but I didn't think that was a good choice. anyway, I hope you find this useful- maybe the library has it? Ill do the poll now. night!

Sorry to have missed you all this week. I ment to ask my book club friends to a beer tasting at my place Friday. I just made a hopefully delicious pale wheat beer. Sorry for the indiscriminant invite but I have plenty and only have contact info for some of you so friends and new friends message me through meetup and I'll explain how to get here.

Hello, Due to the craziness of the past month with holidays and everything, I did not get a chance to read the book. However I will try to read a synopsis on line. I want to try and make it on Wednesday night. Happy New Year.

If I wanted to participate in January's book, would it make sense to attend this meet up? Or start with the next one? Just a little confused on schematics.

    December 29, 2013

    • Amanda

Hi Kaleigh! The meetup on the 1st is technically to discuss the December book 1000 Years of Solitude (we made Dec's meetup a later date because of the holiday) so you're more than welcome to come! We take suggestions for what people want to read at the meeting but you can also email in your suggestion. Have your suggestion for January's book in by the Jan 1st because after the meetup Jenn will put up the poll and then the entire club votes on what January's book will be. We usually post the results of the poll the Friday after the meetup. Hope that helps!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
