The party of the year featuring over twenty regional breweries, micro-breweries and home brewers plus over a dozen local restaurants and music.

Graveyard Shift Ghost Tours
Friday, October 4, and October 11, 6:00 - 10:00 pm, on the hour
Hartford's #1 ghost tour returns for its fourth sell-out Halloween season! After three eventful investigations by TAPS for SyFy's "Ghost Hunters" and an episode of "My Ghost Story," The Mark Twain House creeeeeeaks open its front door for nocturnal tours. Each hour-long tour divulges dark chapters from the Clemens Family's history, Victorian traditions involving Spiritualism and death, and shows you where guests, staff and investigators have had unexplained encounters with the paranormal. Tours step off at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m., 9 p.m. DATES: Oct 4 Oct 11 Oct 17, 18 and 19 Oct 24, 25 and 26

Tom Lee, Storyteller for Adults: BACK TO THE FOREST: Twisted Tales from the Brothers Grimm

The celebrated weaver of tales presents stories from a multiplicity of heritages -- narratives whose straightforward look at lust, violence, and the darkness of the human mind -- with flashes of joy and redemption -- would have appealed to Mark Twain. Details to come.

Capital Classics Theatre Company, in partnership with the Mark Twain House & Museum, presents an evening of Edgar Allan Poe featuring “The Fall of the House of Usher” and “The Tell Tale Heart” performed in the style of old-time radio theater. From the basement of the Mark Twain House to the depths of your own imagination, experience the true horror of Poe in this “Golden Age of Radio” production.
