Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve Hike

We will meet at the west side parking lot and hike approximately 3 miles to the small waterfall in the middle of the trail then head back, making it a 6 mile hike in total.  It is relatively flat (some rolling hills) but mostly uncovered.  Bring plenty of water for you and your pups!

If you think you or your dog aren't up for the whole 6 miles you are welcome to hike with the group as long as you'd like and then turn around early.

It got pretty warm when we last did this hike at 9AM in January, so I'm making this an 8AM start.  Meet at 8, and we'll start hiking at 8:10.  If you arrive later than that...hike fast and catch up.  :)

Would anyone mind if I brought my son? He's only 7, but he's an avid hiker like me!

Hi Alison. The whole hike should be somewhere between 2 and 2.5 hours. If you don't have time for the whole thing you can always turn around early....or do the whole distance but run back. ;)

Do you know about how long it takes to complete the full hike? My boyfriend and I have Sunday Comic Con passes for that day, but I'd love to fit the hike in too.
