I went to Liberty this past Sunday and talk about bare, only half the slopes were covered in snow. You may want to change it to Whitetail cause at least they have better snow cover

Lam, thanks for the tip. The pass I have is for Liberty, Whitetail and Roundtop. I've been to Whitetail once, so I'd rather try one of the other two. I stick with the beginner slopes. What is the consensus, folks? Stick with Liberty? Try Roundtop? Go back to Whitetail?

I was there on Monday. I got there little after 8AM and they were making snow. It wasn't great but it wasn't bad for most of the day considering how warm it was on Monday. I left around 6PM when it started to get icy. Weather forecast shows possible flurries this Saturday so who knows.

I really want to try skiing, but I have never been. Can people help me get started? Also, I live in Silver Spring near the metro station and can't drive. Is there somewhere near here where I could meet people? Otherwise, I can't go.

me too. I didn't go either. I got confused with Liberty or Whitetail.

lols, yeah. I know there were meetup groups at both locations. Mid Atlantic Snowboard switched from whitetail to Liberty, and this group did the reverse.

I went! Since it was my first time skiing in pretty much, well, ever, I'm not sure that I can comment with any degree of authority, but we had a blast. Shredded the hell outta the bunny slopes!

If you are considering going tomorrow....the snow was hard and icy and it was very windy out. A really good thing though was it wasnt crowded at all so like no lift lines. We had a good time!

Oh gosh. Now I really wish I had gone! Veronika, who taught you, and did you fall a lot? Is it hard? I really want to try, and others want me to try, but I'm a little scared.
