Pale Fire, by Vladimir Nabokov. It's a beautiful puzzle-box of a book, one whose solution is forever just a step away. It's funny, sad, ridiculous, and poignant all at once--really a book best enjoyed with others to discuss it with.
I've heard good things about Junot Diaz, and, having just finished a collection of his short stories, I'd like to read one of his longer works. I've heard good things about The Brief Wondrous Life Of Oscar Wao.
Hi! After 7 years of traveling the world, I just recently settled in Chicago, for now at least. I love to read and my career right now is centered around literature. (Though I'm not a writer.) I've always wanted to be part of a good book club :)
