Ugly Sweater & Holiday Costume Party

Happy Holidays! Let's kick off December with a night of ugly Christmas sweaters, Santa suits and elf costumes! Last year around 150 people joined us.

We plan on having a contest for best (worst) dressed, to be announced.

We are also having a toy drive to benefit Treehouse for Kids or a similar charity, to be announced. Please bring a toy or gift card to brighten a child's day! Your toy should be new or very gently used, and please don't gift wrap it. Participating is not required, but I promise you great karma if you do!

You can see our Facebook event page here. Feel free to add Dave LeClair as a friend! https://www.facebook.com/events/245192332269571/

* Find ugly holiday "theme" sweaters at thrift stores like Value Village and Goodwill. Don't delay, because they won't last!
* Find holiday costumes at A Masquerade (Bellevue) or Display & Costume (Northgate).

I am currently writing an adult contemporary novel entitled Uber-grrrls which setting is in Seattle WA in a time period of one year. one of my chapters in Uber-grrrls is "Chapter Ten: The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. I have been trying to get my daughter to sponsor one for two years so that I could get the fun, 'real life' experiences from the event in print. I also have looked forward for as long as I know to have a real excuse to wear one of those sweaters myself. BTW Europeans don't wear them -- It's an american thing. Yes and I too have no social life and as Barbara Streisand so beautifully put it in song, "People, People who need people --- are the luckiest people in the world. Need to run -- Have to find my sweater at the last minute. Live two blocks away from event. See you all there. Happy Holidays. Ho Ho Ho

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
