Best Grad School Fair (QS World Grad School Tour)

UPDATE #1: This event is more of an opportunity for us to meet and network with those heading up graduate school programs (rather than it being a "traditional" Meetup, in the sense that we meet and "do" something together). As such, there really is no plan for the event on my end, other than what QS World MBA Tour (the host of the event) has on the agenda. They approached me with this offer, and I felt it would be a good thing to pass along to our members who might be interested.  Don't forget, for free admission, you must follow the instructions listed in the event posting below!

Thinking about grad school? Want to apply for $1.2 million in exclusive scholarships?

Then mark Tuesday, September 17th on your calendar – that's when the QS World Grad School Tour comes to town!

If you are considering going for a Masters or PhD in the near future, then this is a must-see event. It only happens once a year and more than 30 top ranked grad schools from the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and Europe will be presenting their graduate programs; the full A-Z of subjects are on offer.

I've made special arrangements with the host of this event, QS World Grad School Tour, to give our members only FREE admission by following the directions near the bottom of this event posting. It’s a great opportunity to attend seminars, meet alumni and ask questions directly to admissions directors from universities such as George Washington, Berkeley, University of Virginia, Penn State, plus many more.

This is the world's best international Masters and PhD fair, and it's our chance to meet with some of the world's top grad schools from around the world. At this fair, we'll be able to:

• Apply for scholarships worth $1.2 million, available exclusively to fair attendees

• Attend seminars that can help us strengthen our Masters or PhD application

• Meet face to face with admissions directors from the world's top grad schools

• Network with alumni and learn about their personal study abroad experiences

• Learn about post-qualification career tracks

• Gain valuable insight into funding our education

• Learn about the variety of degree specializations

• Weigh out the benefits of domestic vs. international study

Participating grad schools include, but not limited to:

• University of Virginia

• Penn State University - Smeal College of Business

• UC Berkeley College of Engineering

• University of San Francisco

• CUNY Graduate School of Journalism

• Robert Day School of Economics and Finance at Claremont McKenna College

• Hult International Business School

• Grand Canyon University

To receive FREE admission (for our group only) you must do the following:

1. Register at this site and answer the registration questions (it looks more intimidating than it is)

2. RSVP here

3. Print out this page that shows your RSVP, and bring with you

See you there!

Closest Metro stop is Metro Center. We suggest Metro / cabbing if you can (esp. during rush hour). We also recommend using wmata for travel planning. Don't forget to account for Metro and traffic delays. If you are driving, you will need to find street parking or a garage.

Hi everyone! So it's the weekend and I'm basically not doing anything. So if anyone wants to hang out and go out for a drink or just walk the streets of DC to explore, I'll be more than free to accompany anyone! I new to the area and I'm bored out of my mind staying in all day long!
