Okay, time to get together for our next happy hour!

Our happy hour will benefit DC APA Film... http://www.apafilm.org/ ... a nonprofit organization that produces the annual DC APA Film Festival with the mission to bring attention to the creative output from Asian Pacific American (APA) communities and encourage the artistic development of APA films in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan region... suggested $5 or $10 donation. Please note 80% of donations go to the DC APA Film and 20% of donations will go to the 20s & 30s Asian Going Out Group to cover Meetup fees and expenses. Other groups that will be joining us:
DJ Pedram will be spinning loungy groovy beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 200 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around. Other groups that will be joining us are:
If you haven't been there before, Cafe Asia puts a modern spin on everything from presentation to performance. Well known for it's pan Asian cuisine, it also houses two large full service bars!
To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. Also, 20s & 30s Asian Rockstars, please help make all the newcomers feel welcome to our group!
- J.T.

Metro
Closest Metro is Farragut West (Orange/Blue Line), I suggest metro / cabbing it (esp. during rush hour). I also recommend using wmata for travel plans. Don't forget to account for Metro and traffic delays.

I will be volunteering and setting up these events, and running this group is work. "hehe" Thanks Dan, Andrew, and Shayna, I've sent you an email.

Hey J.T. i'm new to the area and to the group. Im willing to help out. let me know how i can.

Out of 175+ people rsvp'd, only 5 volunteered to help at the door, seriously? This is the worst display of stepping forward I've seen to date, and I've been doing this a long time. I hate to say this, but the Asian group has always been behind when it comes to helping out and volunteering compared to my other groups, but this just takes the cake. This is for a great nonprofit and cause and I still need volunteers for all slots, particularly the 6:30-7 and 8:30-9. Can anyone else help??

Jen, try and get there before 9:30pm if you can. Most people are there by 7:30 - 8pm. See you there!
