UPDATE #12: The email with my cell no. and room no. has been sent to the YES RSVPs. Please TEXT ME if you need to and meet me at my room for checkin. Just a reminder, I'll be there at 5pm. If you do not see my email, check your spam folder. If it's not there, send me an email through my Meetup profile with your cell no. so I can text you back. See you there!
UPDATE #11: I will send out an email Fri. morning with my cell no. and my room no. for you to meet me at for check-in. Please check your spam folder if you don't see it, and also make sure your Meetup email settings allow for you to receive emails from the organizer. I will give everyone your lift ticket passes, rental forms, room keys, and any lesson tickets. If you are running late, please TEXT me. This UPDATE has also been emailed to the YES RSVPs. See you there!
UPDATE #10: The trip has sold out. I've removed those RSVP's that signed up but never made payment. Only those that have already made payment for sleeping accommodations may purchase additional lift tickets, rental equipment, and lessons moving forward. I'll see everyone there!
UPDATE #9: The early-bird price has ended and the regular ticket price is now in effect. There are only a couple of spots left, so get them while you can. If you RSVP'd yes, but have not made payment, you are not included in this trip. See you there!
UPDATE #8: If you did not respond to the email I sent to the yes RSVPs a while ago re: UPDATE #4, I made the presumption you were interested only in the ski option, and submitted it to the ski resort.
UPDATE #7: The early-bird pricing ends before Thurs. Jan. 9th and there are only a few spots left, so make payment to lock in your spot if you haven't done so already. I hope to see you there!
UPDATE #6: Based on member feedback, I got us group lessons for those you interested. Retail price is $58 (taxes and fees included) per person for 1 group lesson. Our price is 20% off @ $46. Price goes up to $51 per person before Thurs. Jan. 9th. So sign on up!
UPDATE #5: I've secured for us some additional rooms, so we've been able to open some additional spots. Get them while you can!
UPDATE #4: For those of you renting equipment, the ski resort is requiring us to tell them whether you want to rent skis or a snowboard. If you are renting for both days, you have the option of doing 1 day of skis and 1 day of snowboarding, or 2 days of just skis, or 2 days of just snowboarding. Please submit those to me via email through my Meetup profile if you haven't answered already. Thank you!
UPDATE #3: The "early early-bird" price has ended and the "early bird" ticket price is now in effect. Looking forward to seeing you there!
UPDATE #2: I've worked it out so that most items are a la carte *and* got us a deeper discount! Early bird pricing ends Tues. Dec. 31st or whenever they sell out (whichever comes first), come join us for this great weekend of skiing and snowboarding! If you've already made payment, please send me an email so that I can refund a portion of your payment to reflect the new discounted pricing.
UPDATE #1: There are less than 5 "early early-bird" spots left and the price will increase when the "early early-bird" spots are gone or before Tues. Dec. 31st (whichever comes first). To be fair to those who want to join in and are ready to make payment, I'll be removing those that haven't paid by Sun. Dec. 22nd. So make payment to *truly* lock in your spot.
Let's get together for a weekend of skiing and snowboarding!
I've made special arrangements for our group for a full weekend of skiing / snowboarding at Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort (a four hour drive from DC). With a 4.0 rating on both Google Reviews and Yelp, many reviewers have stated this is the best skiing on the east coast!
I've reserved for us a block of 2 bedroom 2 bath condos at Mountain Lodge (Standard) located right in the heart of the Snoeshow Village, so it's easy access to the rental shop, restaurants, and of course the slopes for direct "ski in / ski out" access (the chairlift is right outside our back door!). Each unit has a complete kitchen, dining / living area, interior hallway ski storage, private balcony, free wifi, 24 hour security, restaurant / bar onsite, Direct TV, and our lodge even has it's own private (gated and free) parking lot out in front. See pictures of our lodge at the bottom of this posting!
We'll check-in Friday night at my room (TBA) from 5pm - midnight. After check in, feel free to go enjoy the Village, snowmobiles, snowshoes, snow tubes, or the awesome hot tubs (they close at 10pm)!
Then Saturday morning from 9 - 10am, we'll get together for breakfast at Shaver's Center. If you wish to get an earlier jump on the day, by all means, please do.
Then we're off on the slopes for a full day of skiing / snowboarding! As an option, they also offer lessons, so if you're interested, please let me know, and I'll see if I can get us a group rate. All meals are on our own.
At 10pm, we'll meet at my room (TBA) for some pre-game activity before heading out at 11pm to Connection nightclub for a night of dancing, music, mingling, drinks, and fun!
Sunday morning we'll do it all over again! Again, if you wish to get an earlier jump on the day, by all means, please do. Check out time is 11am, so be sure you put your bags in your cars before you hit the slopes.

Since items are a la carte, please make payment at Eventbrite here... https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ski-snowboard-trip-tickets-9931959759
The first 15 paid sign-ups, or those who pay before Tues. Dec. 31st (whichever comes first) get the early bird price! After that, prices will go up, and then again before Thurs. Jan 9th. We have a LIMITED number of spots so make sure to RSVP early and make payment to get the early bird price!
Also please know that your RSVP is not guaranteed unless we receive payment. When you pay, your online receipt is confirmation that we have received your payment.
Tell your friends, come join us, and let's together for a great weekend of skiing, snowboarding, new friends, and outdoor fun!
See you there!
If you need a ride, I suggest posting in the comment box below. Likewise, if you can offer a ride, please also post in the comment box with number of people you can accommodate.
We will have a master list of all those that have paid. It’s not required, but I recommend printing out your payment confirmation as a backup. When you check-in, your RSVP will be listed under the name of the Paypal or credit card account used to make payment. Typically, this is your LEGAL name as shown on your driver's license. Sometimes, it may be under a company name if you set up your Paypal or credit card account that way. If you are not sure what it is, please take a moment to log into your Paypal account (it will say "Welcome, [your account name]" at the top) or your credit card account to find out. If you are RSVP'd under someone else's payment, please use that name for check-in.
Refund Policy & Ticket Resell
Since we paid in advance for this event, all sales are final unless the event is cancelled or rescheduled. Similar to a concert ticket or a football game ticket, you are free to sell your ticket to someone else (same sex only if individual spot; same sexes only, or to another couple, if a couple spot) if you are unable to attend. I suggest posting in the comment box for the event, that you have a ticket for sale. Work out payment between yourselves, and send us an email letting us know the full name and Meetup profile URL (if a member) of the person taking your spot. Thanks for understanding. =)
