*** It's a great day for happy hour! See you tonight! ***
UPDATE #2: Drink specials are $4 Coronas, $5 20s & 30s Superstar drinks, and $6 house wine until 8pm!
UPDATE #1: Looks like this will be a good one! So tell a friend, come on out, meet new people, and help support a good cause! And again, I encourage everyone to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE!

Okay, time to get together for our next happy hour!

Our happy hour will benefit The Homeless Children's Playtime Project... http://www.playtimeproject.net ... a local non-profit with the mission to nurture healthy child development and reduce the effects of trauma among children living in temporary housing programs in the District of Columbia... suggested $10 donation. Please note 80% of donations go to the The Homeless Children's Playtime Project and 20% of donations will go to the 20s & 30s Going Out Group to cover Meetup fees and expenses.
DJ Saam will be spinning loungy groovy beats for us. Our happy hours typically bring out 150 - 200 folks... and I wouldn't be surprised with a similar turnout this time around.
If you haven't been there before, Muse features 3 different levels, with 3 different DJs, PLUS a rooftop! Each floor is complete with plasma TVs. They've got a top 40 / old school / house floor, a latin floor, and a hip hop floor!! 21+
To help continue the friendly tone of this group... I'd like to again encourage each person to have a GOAL OF MEETING 3 NEW PEOPLE at this event. To help do this, for an icebreaker, we'll put your name in a jar as you walk in, and then give you someone else's name from the jar. Also, 20s & 30s Rockstars, please help make all the newcomers feel welcome to our group!
- J.T.

Metro
Closest Metro is Gallery Place/ Chinatown (red, yellow, green lines), I suggest metro / cabbing it (esp. during rush hour). I also recommend using wmata for travel plans. Don't forget to account for Metro and traffic delays.

Nice venue, cool people. Glad it was my first meet up.
July 21
I had a great deal of fun and met some very interesting people! I will def attend the next happy hour that is hosted by this group!
July 21
Since most people will be coming after work, business casual is appropriate. Most DC lounges don't permit ripped jeans, sneakers, hats, flip flops. See you there!
July 20
Is there anyone who will leave from King street metro around 6 pm? I am looking for accompanies to go with~ :)
July 20
Katrina, the owners have agreed to open the second floor once / if the first floor gets to capacity. Block party it is!
July 19
Is muse even big enough for this? Looks like this can turn into a block party :)
July 19
@Roxanne - try and get there before 8pm if you can so you'll still have some time to socialize before it's over. I’d say it typically peaks around 7:30 - 8pm. See you there!
July 18
Adam, if you look at the attendance numbers you know we'll be rollin' deep. I think it's also pretty clear that bartenders that do not honoring drink specials at charity functions virulently hate homeless children... That's probably all my parole conditions will allow me to say.
July 9
Just a note, particularly to Kelly and JT -- I've been to two different events at Muse, both of which advertised specific drink specials. In both cases, the bar did *not* honor the specials. Obviously it's too late to change the venue, but you may want to verify what exactly the bartenders intend to honor, at least the day before.
June 19
@Jenny - you do not have to leave after 9:30pm...you can stay beyond the end of the happy hour.
June 19
Im already excited for this one! i hope i can make it this time, possibly at 7pm.. what happened after 930pm are we supposed to leave the club?
