UKAware is holding on Exhibition at London Olympia in April on “Ideas For A Greener Living.” They have invited 21st Century Network to hold a meetup on April 18th mid day as part of this event. We plan to hold a session there on – “Green Futures – Simplicity or TechnoFix,” where we hope to debate whether a green future means us all living more simply or whether new technologies like, for example, nanotechnology will enable our high tech society to continue. It should be an interesting debate about our future. She owns her own award winning “Eco-home” and her consultancy has guided hundreds of households and informed thousands of people about how to save money through living a greener lifestyle. Penney is a regular on This Morning recently taking part in their Green Week and is an in-demand after dinner speaker and host. Tim has given over 100 invited talks and keynote lectures on nanotechnologies ranging from economic implications to toxicology. Chris CoverdaleFull MemberVery useful to link with UK Aware and get free entry to the exhibition where i made several excellent contacts. The speakers were excellent but I would have liked to hear more from the audience. It may be useful to try to handle the second half of sessions in a slightly different way. Constantly going back to the speakers for their responses as if it was a question and answer session rather moved it away from the open discussion /suggestion session that i would have liked it to develop into. There were a lot of quality contributions from the audience that needed to be built on / elaborated from others. As always it was excellently compered by Francis.
