Introduction

Hi,I am Vijay originally from the Paradise Island of Mauritius but living in London for the past 10 years.I am a blogger. The link is(shortjourneylongdistance.blogspot.com)I also contribute to The New Londoner.

Tell us a little about yourself

I was guest speaker at the University of Connecticut in Bloomsburry to address sudents on Migrants and their vulnerability.I am giving a talk on my experience as a homeless on the 8th of February at the Queens Head in Islington.I am also giving a seminar talk at the University of Sussex(Brighton) to MA students in Migration during the Spring semester.I have also participated to various conferences on Media through the Migrant Resource Centre (MRC).I was live on Radio5 with Victoria Derbishire to talk about modern slavery.Participated on Radio Camden on the role of Migrants.

Can you tell us what sort of meetings would interest you.

Anything about Migrants and their role in modern society.

Are you interested in helping by being a speaker, a chairperson or a facilitator of some of our meetings or webinars ?

I am very much interested to be a speaker on any forum concerning Migrants and the vulnerables.

We have now started to hold House Meetings. Would you be willing to host a house meeting yourself and what topic would you be interested in discussing at such a meeting?

Not really as I live in a shelter waiting a decision from the Home Office about my Immigration case.

Are there any other ways you could they help us develop the 21st Century Network idea?
