To connect and network online on a regular basis and then meet regularly to share what we are working on, brainstorm and collaborate, when possible, but always be supportive of each other and strive for success in our community through the sustainability of digital media opportunities.
We are interested in people of all ages coming together to create and support creativity. Ideally we will set up a mentor component for more experienced filmmakers and video creators to take less experienced interested parties along as the age-old apprentice/journeyman model.
We do not want to take away jobs from our producers who are already working, but by working together we can strategize ways to be more effective in working together.
I believe that we have what it takes to elevate the quality of digital media created here to be competitive in a national, if not global, marketplace.
The focus will be short content videos, music videos, short films, documentaries, feature films, educational pieces, Webisodes, television series and PSA's.
Graphic artists, musicians, artists, people interested in fashion, video producers and web developers and students are some of the people who may benefit by coming together. Also people who would like to financially invest in the future of our region by supporting digital and traditional media are encouraged to attend and be engaged.
We are also interested in video game development, telemarketing, green productions, healthy lifestyles for media makers, multimedia events,screenings of indie, classic films, and distribution of content and Social Networking Site set-up and management. These may be separate MeetUps, but could meet together to start with and see how it goes.
