Join us for a snowy hike - 12 miles (20km). It will be a circular walk from Princes Risborough to limit us to one train line. The Chilterns has had around 10cm of snow so please be prepared with decent walking boots and poles if necessary for stability. The temperature will be -2! We will still go to the same pub and have a warming pub lunch
What to bring/wear:
Good walking boots & gaitors if you have them
Hat & Gloves
Walking poles if you have them
Torch - we may finish in the dark
We plan to stop for lunch at the Gate Inn in Bryant's Bottom for either a Sunday roast or other local speciality! http://www.thegateinnpub.co.uk/
By train from Marylebone
We will meet at 9am to join the 9:36 train to Princes Risborough. Arrange yourselves in groups of 4 and get a GroupSave 4 ticket return to Princes Risborough.
Park at Princes Risborough and aim to arrive by 10:05.
Fee for hike £5.00
Equipment (please read!):
Please ensure that you have basic adequate equipment to enjoy this day out. For this walk you are required to have hiking shoes or boots (it can be very muddy outside London) and a good waterproof jacket and trousers. Please remember to bring a torch as the days are short and we may get caught out! Also, do not wear jeans because if they get wet you will get cold.
Please remember to change your RSVP if you are no longer able to make the event. No shows are recorded and may affect your RSVP status for future events. After three “no shows” you may be moved to the waiting list for events that are full.
