    Saturday AFTERNOON OPTION:

    Can drive to Southport, browse around for a couple of hours, then take the ferry (North Carolina Ferry Schedule) back to Fort Fischer and up the beach to Oceanic Restaurant on Wrightsville Beach. Park on the road (FREE after 6:00 pm) to walk on the beach to Masonboro Inlet to watch the boats coming in and out.

    Saturday EVENING: Can have drinks, salads, or dinner at Oceanic Restaurant

    Oceanic's pier has reopened for outdoor dining with tables accommodating about 70 guests, and more tables are coming along with awnings by mid-May.
