New friends that find themselves in similar situations as me. I hope to learn from all of our experiences through fun, hip meetings where having a laugh overrides fear. I am really good at research and I am friends with my Dr. She told me she'd be willing to come hang out and discuss anything we want. I'm hoping someone else knows a nutritionist that can come teach us portion sizes while out and about in town.
I have pretty good cooking skills, but fall short of what I SHOULD be cooking. I kind of like knowing what works and putting my energy into that. I would be willing to cook for people that are not my family to see if it holds up to our buds- I live with 2 meat and potatoes kind of guys. SO, they aren't really good lab rats for healthy food, but if I can figure out ways to trick them... with other people's recipes...
I am a freelancer in the Film and TV world- so my schedule is totally crazy, but we don't usually work weekends. Right now I have all the time in the world.
I think that we could do once a month at first and then see how it goes.

I'd like you all to see my garden; I think people talking about cooking would be good too.

I want to go tomorrow but am not sure I can yet. I'm a good cook (I want to find out if one can make a roux with flaxseed paste) and would be interested in finding out more about cooking for diabetes.
I also have a garden.
