In our annual tradition, before summer ends officially, we have our beach bonfire and potluck - luau style. This is a chill, hang out event, no agenda and nothing planned. Do whatever and relax on the beach.
PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE EVENT DESCRIPTION FOR DETAILS
We will not be coordinating what people are bringing this time, but do post what you plan to bring and bring enough to share. But this time – it’s BRING YOUR OWN PLATE, CUP AND UTENSILS. Be environmentally friendly and bring what you can take home and wash.
Sponsors will be bringing the firewood this time, paper and kindling. But we’ll need some more tables to hold everything. So please respond if you can bring a table, we’ll need 2-3 more. What else should you bring?
--Drinks in coolers (alcoholic and nonalcoholic),
--Food of all kinds to share: appetizers, vegetables, meats, casseroles, dips, desserts , smores anyone? (NOTE--we’re not planning on bringing a grill – if someone wants to bring one that’s fine, but please plan to precook what you’re bringing in case there is a last minute change in his/her plans),
--chairs, blankets, hats, sunscreen, Frisbee, football, volleyball and other games
--friendly dogs that won’t go around eating everything
How to find us: We’ll be to the right of the stairwell at 13th Street. Park anywhere nearby and walk down the stairs. There will be a sign at the top of the stairs. When you get to the bottom turn right and hopefully we’ll be right there. Look for tiki torches.
This event is cross posted with the Monterey Peninsula Social Club. Please do not RSVP in both groups. Thanks.
