East Sooke’s coast trail is considered one of the premier day hikes in Canada, a west coast wilderness experience within easy reach of the city.
One moment you travel across a bluff of windswept pines, the ocean crashing at you feet. Next you enter a dark rainforest at the end of a ravine. Turn a corner and you’re back in sunlight, at the edge of the sea.
We will do a moderate hike. Will not finish the whole 10KM trail. Instead we will finish when we feel we need to.
Please bring your lunch and water.
Rideshare will be available from Saanich Municipal Hall parking lot, 777 Vernon Ave, a place convenient for both bus riders and car drivers. Each passenger is suggested to pay $10 to the driver as the cost of rideshare.
When you sign up, please leave a comment about whether you need a ride or you can provide seats for rideshare.
