Local storyteller Cara Brigandi hosts no-notes tales by amateur and professional storytellers. Drop your name in the hat for a five-minute turn at the mic. Most stories are light and entertaining to downright hilarious, while others can be very sobering and heart-felt. Come on out with us to hear some great unscripted tales from the lives of everyday people or maybe get up to tell a story of your own. It's always a good time!
The show is free, but they ask for a $5 donation. They have a start time of 7:30, but that's usually when they start accepting names for those telling stories. It is a BYOB event, too. So bring whatever spirits or drinks you like. And if you get there after 7:40, you might want to bring your own chair. After that time, standing room only remains. Look for me! I'll be standing near the front seating toward the back of the room. They usually start the show at 8:00 pm. Usually, after the show, a good number of us hang out in the area for a drink and maybe a bite to eat. We may just skip across the street to Swig, where it will be less crowded. Bar Bar Black Sheep was the last spot we hit. I hope to see you there!
